Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a process that brings you to a state of relaxation allowing you to access your subconscious or unconscious mind. While in this relaxed state, you’re able to absorb new information as well as recall experiences that may have created obstacles on your path to healing, and then use that information to grow and make changes in your life.

Why hypnotherapy?

Our prior experiences play a significant role in the choices we make. Sometimes, our conscious mind acts as a gatekeeper and will protect us from our past, keeping us safe from painful memories or experiences. Through hypnotherapy, we can open that gate and access important information that may hold the key for healing and transformation.

When is hypnotherapy used?

Many people use hypnotherapy when there’s a need to unlock areas of potential in their life or to gain access to information that may be preventing them from moving forward. Some examples are:

  • Creative blocks, or difficulty accessing inspiration
  • Anxiety and fear
  • Depression
  • Grief and letting go
  • Emotional reactivity
  • Relationship issues, repetitive unhealthy patterns
  • Career direction, lack of confidence
  • Weight loss and smoking cessation
  • Fear of making the wrong choice
  • Patterns or habits preventing personal growth

You can apply hypnotherapy to so many areas of your life, including your mental, spiritual, and physical well-being, your sense of security, and even work-related choices and changes, just about anything you can imagine.

How do I know if hypnotherapy is right for me?

If you have a clear, realistic, and attainable goal for your life, hypnotherapy may be a great choice to advance your efforts in reaching that vision.

How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnosis allows you to attain a state of focused attention, drawing you away from the conscious mind, giving you access to the unconscious mind. While in the hypnotic state, new information can be absorbed, and deeply stored experiences can come to the forefront. This new information empowers us with the knowledge and states of being we need to overcome obstacles or emotional barriers preventing positive changes in our life.

What happens during a session?

Our sessions are designed to meet your specific goals and are unique to your needs and mode of processing. I’ll ask you questions to guide our work together, and with your input, we’ll begin the process of experiential hypnosis.I’ll conduct an initial hypnotherapy session so you can experience how hypnotherapy works and anchor yourself in realizing that you’re in complete control while in the hypnotic state. You’ll have an opportunity to feel how natural the relaxed state of hypnosis is. As you gain comfort being in the hypnotic state, we’ll have the opportunity to bring greater healing to your life.

Within the safety of the space created for you, I’ll ensure focus is maintained within your experience, and provide you with the comfort of knowing I’m with you to guide you within your journey. Sometimes, memories arise that are difficult or unpleasant. If you tap into a memory causing great emotion or fear, I have the tools and professional skills to bring you back to present.

What should I expect after a hypnotherapy session?

The results of hypnotherapy are different for each person. You might experience:Greater confidence in your ability to make choices
A clear understanding of what you want from life and how to obtain it
Increased creativity in accomplishing life dreams and goals
Clarity on how to move past obstacles in your life
The ability to recognize decision making patterns that lead to unpleasant relationship choices or unfulfilling vocations
A renewed vision for life and your soul’s purpose
Your session will focus on your personal goals and is intended to create a clearing to help you reach them.

How many sessions will I need?

Typically, three to six sessions are beneficial to produce the anticipated outcomes. Individuals having prior experience with hypnosis may find one session is sufficient to reach their goals. If you’re new to hypnosis, or if we’re addressing traumatic histories or deep-seated beliefs or behaviors, more sessions may be needed.

When you choose to schedule consecutive sessions, the time between them can give insight and direction for the next session — creating a consistent focus to reach the desired goal.

Hypnotherapy is an efficient method that allows you direct access to the information you need to support your personal growth and healing. You’ll experience greater insight and understanding of yourself and the world around you as you advance on your path to healing.
